About DJ Avi

Avi, was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota before eventually finding their way to Portland, Oregon.

Whether they were making mixtapes, playing trombone in jazz combos and big bands, or controlling the music at parties, they have always been surrounded by music. They had their start in the industry while in the Midwest, working for a high volume DJ event company. Versed in a variety of genres, DJ Avi is sure to play any and all of your favorites.

As a queer person, diversity is important to them, and they can bring that to the table musically and culturally. As an MC, DJ Avi is able to make announcements in Russian and Spanish. They welcome folks from any and all backgrounds. They especially enjoy DJing weddings for the opportunity to bring fun dance party to a couples’ special day.

DJ Avi is known for being approachable, humorous, charismatic, and organized, able to adapt to and entertain any crowd at any event. They’re sure to be a perfect match for your next event.
