About DJ Katie (she/her)
Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Katie grew up on mixtapes and rock ’n’ roll, but nowadays her expertise in music dates back to classic rock, 60s girl groups, soul, pop and glam.
In 2004, while in college earning her bachelor’s degree in Chicago, Katie began DJing at local clubs such as Innjoy, Empty Bottle and The Chicago Art Department.
Since moving to Portland in 2011, she’s been a resident DJ at the East End, and nowadays can be found at a local coffee shop daydreaming about playlists. You should hear her 50 Cent / Men Down Under remix.
Always happy to interact with the crowd, Katie can accommodate any request. And since keeping things organized has always been her forté, she’s sure to make your wedding, or next event, a big hit.
