GIANNI

About DJ Gianni (he/him)

Gianni grew up in Cuba where he started to study and practice in the DJ world at the young age of 13.  After a whole year of homework, he began to play as a DJ locally for birthday parties and small events.

Over a course of seven years he DJ’d all over Cuba and in the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, being exposed to a wide variety of cultures and music genres. Over this time he really improved his skills as a DJ-MC.

When he first came to the US back in 2019, he worked really hard to get into the music scene. By the beginning of his second year here, he was already playing at bars and nightclubs. In his third year, he was DJing at least two events a week and playing on the biggest music venues in Portland and Salem.

His favorite genres to play are hip-hop, R&B, Afro-House, EDM, Disco, 70s to 00s, Reggae, classic rock, country and a wide range of Latin music. A él realmente le gusta cumbias, reggaeton, dembow, banda-movidas, huapangos, zapateados, corridos, bachata, salsa. You name the genre, and he’ll play it.

Gianni is a true hustler, hard worker, and great at mixing any track. He’s passionate about music and getting people to dance wherever he plays.. As he gains more experience in the wedding industry, he will surely become one of your favorite DJs and ours.

    are saying…

My husband and I had our wedding in August and had Gianni as our DJ. I felt like the admin team did an amazing job at matching us with a dj that would fit our wedding day so well. Gianni was great, helped go over our playlist and schedule prior to the wedding to make sure we had everything the way we needed and for it to run smoothly. We were planning everything ourselves so his tips to make certain things run smoothly were extremely helpful! My favorite part was that I had requested him not to take song requests unless it came from my MOH, and no matter how much my family bugged him he stuck to that request! Which I greatly appreciated. The dance floor and vibes were amazing, my brother was dance battling anyone he could!
