About DJ Brett

Originally from Rhode Island and now based in Portland, Brett—has been DJing since 2007 and helping couples celebrate their big day since 2014.

Before becoming a professional DJ, he studied composition, performance, audio engineering, and music business at Sir Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in Liverpool, England. Since then, he has performed more than 1,000 events across weddings, private events, nightlife, and community spaces throughout the United States and abroad.

His musical tastes span indie rock, disco, funk, nu-disco, soul, classic hip hop, dance music, and timeless pop.

More than anything, Brett uses music as a tool for connection. He approaches DJing with a high degree of empathy, paying close attention to the energy in the room while creating an environment where people naturally let loose, connect with one another, and fully immerse themselves in the moment.

In addition to DJing, Brett is a professional sound tech for live bands and works in event production, giving him a strong technical foundation and helping ensure events sound as good as they feel.

Whether setting the mood during cocktail hour or keeping a dance floor packed late into the evening, his goal is always the same: creating an atmosphere that feels natural, memorable, and uniquely suited to the people gathered together with him.
